New Apple TV Supports 1080p Video, Still $99

As rumored, Apple has announced a new Apple TV at its special event in San Francisco.

The new Apple TV features support for 1080p video. Additionally, movies and TV shows from iTunes are now available in 1080p. The new Apple TV also features a streamlined interface.

TV shows will appear the day after they air live (assuming you have a subscription) and iTunes Match support is included.

The Apple TV also supports iCloud’s photo stream. This means that photos taken from an iPhone or iPad appear automagically on the Apple TV, no muss, no fuss.

The new Apple TV will be available for $99 next week. Pre-orders start today.
